Haku Vodka
HAKU Vodka is a Japanese craft vodka distilled from 100% Japanese white rice, with production beginning in Kagoshima, Kyushu, and final blending and bamboo-charcoal filtration in Osaka. This 70cl, 40% expression is defined by a rice-led softness, a delicate floral aroma and a smooth finish with gentle lingering sweetness.
White rice is milled, polished and fermented with rice koji before pot-still distillation in Kagoshima. The rice spirit is then distilled again through two different processes before being blended and filtered through bamboo charcoal at Suntory’s Osaka facility. Suntory describes this proprietary filtration as helping create a clean, clear flavour and a mellow character.
Crystal clear in the glass, HAKU Vodka opens with a soft aroma shaped by sweet, delicate floral rice notes. The palate is rich and enveloping, carrying natural rice sweetness and layered rice flavour. It finishes smoothly, with a refined sweetness that lingers pleasantly.
HAKU Vodka suits a crisp, dry Martini occasion. Suntory’s Haku Martini combines the vodka with dry vermouth, stirred over ice, strained into a chilled Martini or coupe glass, and finished with a lemon twist.
