KRESSMANN Monopole Rouge
KRESSMANN Monopole Rouge. Edouard Kressmann arrived in Bordeaux in 1858 and quickly developed a passion for blending and maturing wines. After working for a friend who was a wine merchant, he founded his own company in 1871. In 1897, Edouard Kressmann, a renowned oenologist, created his own brand “Kressmann Monopole”, a high quality Bordeaux wine made by blending wines from different estates. The success of this wine, of which Kressmann has the “Monopole”, is immediate. Hundreds of barrels were exported from the famous Chartrons quay to Europe and America: Kressmann Monopole was born. A century later, the recipe has not changed. Kressmann’s oenologists scour the Bordeaux vineyards in search of representative terroirs to select the best vintages of small winegrowers each year. In their diversity, they will make it possible to carry out a homogeneous and regular assembly.
