    Description

LAPHROAIG 30 Year Old Ian Hunter Story

The 2019 release of Laphroaig’s Ian Hunter series is a creamy, smooth 30-year-old single malt, filled with Laphroaig’s characteristic peatiness. Matured exclusively in American white oak barrels, this Islay whisky celebrates the legacy of Ian Hunter, the last member of the Johnston family to own and manage Laphroaig distillery. Sweet aromas of manuka honey, light peat smoke, cooked apple, rosemary and vanilla mingle with lemon peel and orgeat on the nose. The palate offers notes of black pepper, garden herbs, cedar wood, kumquat, rich peat smoke and gorse flowers, before developing a sweet note of custard creams and vanilla pods.
