Pinnacle Chardonnay 2015

Matured for 9 months on yeast lees in a mixture of new and second fill French oak barrels. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose exhibits grapefruit and nectarine aromas intermixed with hints of dried honey, gun flint and spice. Medium bodied with good freshness and a slight creaminess the palate has flavours of nectarines and dried honey married to gun flint infusions with some roasted almond and spice characters following on. Finishes dry with vibrant acidity and an aftertaste of nectarines, dried honey, gun flint infusions, subtle roasted nuts and spice.
