PLANTATION Trinidad 2003
PLANTATION Trinidad 2003 was distilled in 2003 in a four column still at Trinidad Distillers, and has been aged 11 years in Trinidad, then matured 2-3 years in Ferrand casks. Rising fruit notes create a citrus explosion of lemon and pear, followed by grilled almond, popcorn and paprika. It is a fresh and floral rum, perfect as an after diner drink.
Plantation Vintages are an invitation to travel. From Jamaica to Barbados via Panama, each rum possesses characteristic local flavors from each country included in Maison Ferrand’s portfolio.
The label depicts a plantation where oxen pull a plow through the earth. A label to remember that Trinidad was an important land for sugar cane cultivation. Before rum came into play, of course. The Frieze highlights a red ibis, symbol of the island of Trinite also present on the coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago.
