Diageo Distillers Editions, Each year Diageo presents new batches of the Distiller Editions series. These are whiskies which are known under the name “Classic Malts” in its standard form, but got ain wine, sherry or to get a special aromatic accent and to become the “Distillers Editions”.
The bottlings of the Distillers Edition are limited; the year of finishing remain the same – Lagavulin, for example, is finished in Pedro-Ximenez casks for the Distillers Edition, Dalwhinnie in Oloroso and Cragganmore in port wine casks.and are given on the so that the annual batches can be distinguished at a glance. Diageo Distillers Editions is a multination in the beverage industry owning twenty eight working distilleries. With this ownership Diageo also has large quantities of old whisky in stocks including that of some already closed distilleries. Each year Diageo makes a selection of limited releases from some of these distilleries.
