One of the oldest scotch whisky classics, Chivas Regal is world-famous. The Chivas Brother can trace its roots back to 1801 when the grocers at Number 13 King Street, Arbedeen opened. It was only half a century later when Chivas Brothers actually started to make whisky as it started out selling luxury food, coffee and spices. The Chivas Regal 12 year was only officially released until the post-US Prohibition.
During the 1950s, the brand underwent a relaunch in the US which was an immediate success! This high end scotch is the preferred drink for many famous individuals including Frank Sinatra who requested chivas liquor as part of his backstage rider.
The Regal Chivas is a very refined blended whisky. Chivas drink has a delicate taste of herbs, honey and fruity taste leaping forth on the palate. These superb blends of Chivas Regal scotch are great value for money.
In terms of popularity, the Chivas Regal 12 comes first followed by the Chivas Regal 18. The blend of the finest malt and grain whiskies that have been matured has luxurious honey, vanilla and ripe apple notes to it. The exceptionally rich and creamy Chivas liquor offers such a complex and nuanced array of aromas and flavors. This blended malt whisky is drawn from the top 1 percent of distillery casks.
You can drink Chivas whiskey straight, on the rocks, with water, with club soda, or with ginger ale.
The oldest in the Chivas’ family is the Royal Salute - Chivas 25. Also known as the 62 Gun Salute, the bottle is a rich, gold colour that has an enticing fruity nose of sweet orange and peach. The after taste of marzipan and nuts hints of rich and chocolate orange.
