ALIRA Merlot 2014
ALIRA Merlot 2014 is an 80-acre boutique winery, located in Dobrogea, on the hills overlooking the banks of the Old Danube. We believe in respect for nature and quality at the expense of quantity. We do all this in the hope of providing a premium experience to every customer.
The Alira Merlot grapes are picked manually, and then carefully selected on the sorting tables. The maceration of grapes takes between 5 and 8 days at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C. The alcoholic fermentation (100% by the addition of selected yeast) is controlled at 26-28 ° C for another 8-10 days, followed by hot maceration (thermo-maceration) between 5 and 8 days. Aging was done for about 12 months in French oak.
