What is Balvenie 25 Whisky?
The Balvenie distillery, established by William Grant in 1892, has a notable history and is one of the most recognized whisky brands globally. The stage was set in 1973 for the launch of the Balvenie single malt brand which earns its fame for several reasons. One of them being their Master of Malt David C. Stewart MBE who is the longest-standing Malt Master in the world of Whisky.
Another famed trait of the distillery is its pioneering of the 12 year old “Double Wood” by Stewart in 1993. This whisky was created using “second cask-finishing” in the barrels of port, rum, sherry, etc which is now a standard in the whisky industry.
The Balvenie 25 Year Old expression crafted by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE is a blend of whiskies bottled with 48% ABV. It is matured for 25 years in traditional American and European Oak casks and married in a tun to bring out its fruity and elegant character, hinting at Balvenie’s most sought-after flavors.
