Château Pontet Barrail is situated in the commune of Begadan and has belonged to the Bibey family since 1970. Château Pontet Barrail covers 17 hectares of land composed of clay limestone and sandy-gravelly soils. The vines have an average age of 38 years and thrive in this terroir which allows them to reach their full potential. The family’s work in the Chateau’s vineyards has been rewarded with ”Cru Bourgeois” status which is a reference point in the Médoc region.

A desire to write a new page in the history of Chateau Pontet Barrail , to tell the story of this wine newly elected to the rank of Cru Bourgeois. To shake off the dust from this name so closely linked to our family history and make of it a true reference of quality, such are my objectives.
