Jameson Irish Whiskey is a type of blended Irish whisky. Produced in the Midleton Distillery, this Irish whisky is a classic whisky. It is triple distilled for maximum flavour, making it one of the best whiskeys in the world. Originally, it was one of the six main Dublin Whiskeys at the Jameson Distillery Bow St. Now, it is distilled at the New Midleton Distillery, turning it into a Midleton Irish whisky.

The Jameson Irish Whisky is produced from a blend of grain whisky and single pot still whisky. There is a mixture of malted and unmalted Irish barley which are sourced from around the Cork distillery. The barley is then dried in a closed kiln. The grains are then triple distilled so that it achieves its signature smoothness. Finally, the drink is aged in oak casks for a minimum of 5 years.
Founded by John Jameson in 1780, the Irish whisky distillation began at Bow Street. In 1805, John Jameson II, his son, joined the business and eventually took over and built the business before handing it to his son, John Jameson the 3rd in 1851. Officially, the company was incorporated as John Jameson and Son Ltd in 1901. The Jameson is best as a starter whiskey. It has been hailed as the perfect starter whisky for those who are just starting out in the tasting world due to its signature smoothness and easy on palate taste.

On the nose, the Jameson is full of floral notes that waft through the whisky glass. The smooth sweetness of marmalade and fudge hits the nose before a hint of Madeira and little notes of freshly cut grass emerge.
On the palate, the incredible taste of thick, smooth whisky slides down the throat. A good body with notes of orchard fruits is both fresh and creamy with hints of vanilla.
For its finish, it is medium length with spice and honey notes. The Jameson Irish whisky color is a rich, deep amber.
