Kamiki Sakura Wood (48% ABV) — Triple Cask Finished World Blended Malt Whisky
Kamiki Sakura Wood is a bold, aromatic world blended malt whisky finished in rare Japanese woods for a distinctly “temple-forest” profile. It undergoes a triple maturation: first in oak, then a second maturation in Yoshino-Sugi Japanese cedar casks, and a final finish in Sakura (cherry blossom) wood casks—adding warming wood spice, soft florals, and cherry-tinged sweetness.
Often described as the world’s first whisky to combine Japanese cedar + Sakura finishing, Kamiki Sakura is bottled at 48% ABV for fuller texture and a long, fragrant finish. (Bottle format commonly seen as 50cl.)
Why customers buy it
- Triple cask finish: Oak → Japanese Cedar → Sakura wood
- Japanese-meets-world blend: Japanese malts combined with selected global malt whiskies
- 48% ABV: more intensity, better mouthfeel, longer finish
- Unique wood profile: cedar/pine warmth + sandalwood spice + floral spring notes
How to Enjoy
- Neat: best for the cedar-to-sakura aromatics and spicy cherry finish
- Add a few drops of water: opens florals and sweet fruit while softening the cedar intensity
- Highball (advanced): if you like aromatic highballs, use less soda to keep the Sakura finish present
