The fruit for this wine is a blend of two different grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Riesling. The grapes have been carefully selected from a number of quality vineyard sites from the lower Wairau Valley, capable of reaching optimum flavor intensity. The delicate colour was extracted by having the grapes spend just a few hours on their skins. Fermentation occurred in 100 per cent stainless steel at cooler temperatures to retain fruit flavour and freshness.
