    Description

    Kubota Manjyu Sake

KUBOTA Manjyu Sake is a Junmai Daiginjo from Niigata, Japan, made by Asahi Shuzo under the Kubota range. This flagship expression is defined by its balance of umami, sweetness and tartness, alongside a refined floral aroma and clean, silky texture. The Malaysia listing is a 72cl bottle at 15.5% ABV.

KUBOTA Manjyu Sake is a Junmai Daiginjo. Its koji is made with Niigata-grown Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 50%, while the mash uses locally sourced Niigata rice polished to 33%. The official specification gives an acidity of 1.2 and Sake Meter Value of +2, positioning the expression within Kubota’s dry and crisp tanrei-karakuchi style.

In the glass, KUBOTA Manjyu Sake is crystal clear and nearly water-like. Its refined floral aroma carries dried strawberry and nut nuances, while the palate is clean, silky and smooth. Umami, sweetness and tartness are held in balance before the style resolves dry and crisp, in keeping with Kubota’s tanrei-karakuchi character.

Serve KUBOTA Manjyu Sake chilled at 10–15°C for a composed, food-friendly pour. Its clean, silky profile suits celebratory meals and can accompany dim sum, particularly shrimp dumplings, chive dumplings and pork siu mai, as featured in an Asahi Shuzo pairing.
