Leonce Vermouth Sauvignon Blanc Dry
Leonce Vermouth Sauvignon Blanc Dry, made on a base of sauvignon blanc wine, fortified with a sauvignon blanc brandy. The wine is then enriched with botanicals via blends of macerations or distillates. These botanicals are citrus (pink grapefruit zest, bitter orange, tangerine, lemon and lime), lychee, violet, licorice, mugwort and sage.
The Domaine Les Fumées Blanches is located in Gascony. This region of southwestern France is particularly known for Armagnac. It was in 1997 that François Lurton and his brother Jacques identified the extraordinary potential of this terroir to express the fullness of Sauvignon Blanc. The White Fumes take their name from the morning mists which are created during the significant differences in temperature between night and day and which spread like a mist over the foothills of the vineyard. These mists provide a bulwark against the sun’s rays and bring freshness to the vineyard. It is at the heart of this terroir that Léonce Extra Dry takes its source.
After the launch of their first premium distilled gin, Sorgin, Sabine and François Lurton are back with the Léonce range of vermouths. Each vermouth expresses and sublimates a particular terroir or one of François’s favorite grape varieties The Léonce range of vermouths is a tribute to Léonce Récapet, great-grandfather of François Lurton, hard worker and inventive, true pioneer in the art of distillation. With this family know-how, enriched by the experience of the winegrower, these vermouths conceived as wines, link with elegance and finesse, the world of wine and the world of spirits.
