    Description

MALT, GRAIN & CANE Ardmore 22 Year Old 1998

MALT, GRAIN & CANE Ardmore 22 Year Old 1998. The Ardmore Distillery draws its name from the Gaelic word, Àird Mhòr (Great Height or Big Headland). The distillery was founded in 1898, by Adam Teacher, co-owner of William Teacher & Sons Ltd, in the Scottish Highlands.

William Teacher opened his first dram shop in 1856 and expanded his chain to more than 18 shops at its peak. His sons, Adam & William Jr, continued his legacy after his passing in 1876. The company went on to create Teacher’s Highland Cream Blended Whisky, in 1884.

Ardmore Distillery was established by his sons, Adam & William Jr, to continue the supply of whisky to the family’s business. Located in Kennethmont village of Aberdeenshire, this lightly-peated malt whisky continues to be a staple component of Teacher’s Blended Scotch Whiskies.
