Mansard Brut Millesime Champagne
Mansard Brut Millesime Champagne, Intense acidity is the mark of this wine. It is very crisp, with green apple and grapefruit flavors, touched by yeast. It is still young, needing bottle age to reduce the almost painful acidity, which remains in the mouth even though the final finish is soft. A beautiful bright golden robe A wide nose, notes of viennoiserie, gingerbread and dried fruits. A fresh and molten attack. This vintage reveals a champagne that is both light and expressive from the aromatic point of view.
The Mansard family has been making distinctive champagne wines for 4 generations. Its vineyards are in the delightful village of Cerseuil in Champagne, on the champagne tourist route overlooking the Marne Valley. As the brand’s reputation increased over the years, the company’s rapid growth led to a need for new facilities and more spacious buildings. In 1969, some superb caves 20 m deep in the heart of Epernay were chosen as the site on which Maison Mansard would develop and prosper.
The splendid, large-capacity winery, with its ultra-modern equipment, means that each wine can be separately vinified and selected, thus providing total continuity for this much sought-after product … Mansard champagne. At the end of the 20th Century, the company was sold to a Champagne family, which has retained and perpetuated the Mansard family tradition.
