TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Richly honeyed, with a layer of marmalade and toasted barley underneath.
Palate: Still has a distinctly orangey sweetness to it, now with cinnamon and flaky pastry tagging along.
Finish: Nutty bread with some salted butter, dry oak, and honey once more.

A 2011 Balmenach single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing that was matured in a single refill butt for a decade, before being bottled in September 2021 as part of its Provenance series. Aromas of marmalade, lemon juice, honey and porridge fill the nose, complemented by notes of ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, buttery pastry, zesty orange, toast and caramel throughout the palate.
