YAMAZAKURA Black Label Whisky. Sasanokawa Shuzo Co. The Yamazakura is a ji-whisky made by Sasanokawa Shuzo Co. Sasanokawa is a small distillery which has been making a Ji-whisky simply named Cherry since 1946. The distillery itself is located in the center of Koriyama city and Fukushima prefecture, with a population of 330.000. For Fukushima prefecture the population of the city is relatively large, and its industry is prosperous.
The Tokaido Shinkansen and the Tokaido high way buses run from north to south of the prefecture. From west to east the road runs from Iwaki city to Niigata which are connected by the eastern railway line, the western and a highway and a motorway. Many leading companies have offices and branches in the city. The company makes refined sake, synthetic sake, shochu, whisky, spirits and liqueurs.
