The Balvenie Tun 1858 Batch No.3
The Balvenie Tun 1858 was developed by Scotch whisky’s most experienced Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, who has spent five decades cultivating the craft of whisky making.
To create Tun 1858, David selects casks of European oak and American oak from the distillery’s precious aged whll are transferred to Tun 1858, where the whisky is allowed to marry for several months before being bottled at cask strength.
This unique marrying process is a rare technique, where the different elements of each mature malt combines to create a whisky of exceptional character. Tun 1858 showcases the rare skills David has acquired during a lifetime dedicated to his craft.
